The other side of Ewood Park

Overlooking Ewood Park but the view's not so goodAfter being in the house all day, we felt we needed to get out for a while in the afternoon by going for a stroll, but as the weather was set to turn for the worse with the prospect of snow, we didn't want to go far. There's a path through some pleasant woodland and general greenery round the back of the football ground, so we headed off to stretch our legs and get some fresh (very fresh!) air.

I was interested in whether there was a good vantage point on this side of the ground as I've got some ideas on a possible picture overlooking the stadium whilst floodlit, but there's two drawbacks: there's no clear view of the stadium as the trees are always in the way, and in any case is it a good idea to be lurking around in the woods after dark trying to get a picture? Perhaps not - and the chances are I'd lose a lens or something too...

Carole wrapped up for the coldThe council had tried to spruce up the area with a wooden sculpture, but this has now been completely pulled apart by local kids with nothing better to do. I did manage to get to snap Carole whilst sat on one of the remaining pieces just as the snow started to fall.
