On our Northumbrian adventure

The weather forecast's not good, but despite this we're off today on our Northumbrian adventure - a week's holiday in a farm cottage on the coast near Alnwick. This time we've got company as Mum and Dad are joining us (poor Carole!).

The weather was fine as we set off, but by the time we reached the North East the rain had caught us up, meaning we had to unpack the cars in the pouring rain.

'Who's idea was this?'

By the end of the day, the rain had finally eased and we were able to take a stroll to take in our new surroundings.
