Return to Plockton

Our best chance for avoiding rain today was to head inland, and as Carole had mentioned holidaying in Plockton once many years ago we decided to pay a visit. Plockton is back on the mainland, but now with the Skye Bridge that's no issue, and within ten minutes of crossing we were there.

Looking over Loch Carron from Plockton
Plockton sits in a beautiful spot, sheltered from the sea but yet facing a fabulous bay, part of Loch Carron and framed by the mountains of Wester Ross. Although there was a breeze blowing and a few showers around, we somehow managed to avoid them and enjoyed ourselves exploring this quiet but spectacular part of Scotland.
