The weather was a little better today so in the afternoon we went for a walk in Blackburn's Corporation Park. Corporation Park was created in the 1850s as an area of green space in what was quickly becoming a smoky industrial town. The park contains two small lakes and several fountains and statues, all it has to be said in reasonably good condition despite their age. The park also houses a Victorian conservatory, which sadly has seen better days, having often been targetted by vandals over the years.
On a brighter note, the flower gardens were looking well with several displays of primroses bringing colour to the park. I had my macro lens with me and took several close ups - this one being about the best.
